About us
INSTANT
INSTANT aims to rectify the fragmentation between civilian and military triage systems by i) analysing the strengths and weaknesses of each system currently in use throughout Europe and ii) proposing and designing a unified and modular Triage system, able to adapt to local needs and regulations in place. Identifying and analysing each system will be performed via a systematic search of the international literature using defined keywords and outcome variables, and locally by in-person interviews of medical professionals working at various hospital settings in European countries. Outcome variables such as survivability, need for hospitalization, cost per patient, etc., will be also recorded, analysed and used to define strengths and weaknesses of each Triage system. In addition to classic statistical tools for reviews (forest plots, ANOVA, and so on), data obtained will be modelled using graph database technologies in order to help recording and analysing the complex relationships of the data sets in a more flexible manner.
INSTANT Benefits
- Building and deployment of an innovative open Platform that will ensure digital traceability (e.g Triage DLT and VitalTag) as long as faster and more effective evaluation and control of numerous seriously injured casualties across administrative and political boundaries;
- Piloting campaign validating the adapted application and performance of INSTANT Platform and digital solutions in controlled and in real-life use cases environments
- Building and expansion of an Ecosystem of players working together to improve the lifeworld of First Responders and best practices(e.g. AR technology, Optimisation of Scene) for improving the chances of injured by raising the life expectancy
- Improved EU Standardisation and interoperability on Triage and cross-border methodology and guidelines for pre-hospital life support and triage
- Improved effectiveness and competitiveness of European First Responder industry
- Novel tools, technologies, guidelines and methods aimed at facilitating First Responders’ operations
- New knowledge about field-validation of different tools, technologies and approaches involving First Responders in (real-life) scenarios
